I loved everything about art when I was growing up. And about going to the beach in the summers on daytrips and vacations in Delaware, where I grew up. I went to college in Massachusetts where I majored in Art History and took lots of studio art courses. Then I moved to New York City where I did some art related work but, ultimately, chose to become a Clinical Psychologist. And for a very long time I made virtually no art. It was always something I was going to get back to someday. Until about 2015 when I finally started painting again.  Now I can’t imagine not painting. And after 40 years in NYC, I moved back to Delaware in 2022, near the beach. I’m drawn to color and light, and I love doing both representational and abstract work. They each ask different things of me. Now I identify as both a therapist and an artist.  And I try to approach my paintings in the same way I strive to approach my clients - with an openness and a commitment to their potential. Because it’s never too late - so long as you’re still breathing - to reach for your potential.
